Well, it seems so anyway. I feel I have achieved quite a lot this month. Got all in all 5 workshops booked for definite, paid off some debts that had been nagging me for ages, still got a couple of quid left, although I had to realise that I won't be making it to London for the Nomads meet, and I have made some new friends and hopefully re-established some old friendships too. The 'date' on Tuesday went great, although it didn't feel like a date. No chemistry there, I think we're probably to similar for that. But ... I have made a new friend and we both feel a great affinity for eachother, so it is through and through positive. Funnily enough, her daughter is a performance artist who works a lot with crochet :) It's a small world. When I met my 'date', the first thing she said was: "I don't know you ... that is very good!" However, when we started talking, we did realise that we have quite a few common acquaintances and she used to drink in the gay club where I was working in the 80s. We had a drink at the pub, went for a nice Thai meal and then back to the pub. I only just made the last bus home as we were chatting so animated all evening. Cool! Now we have decided that we go and see a dance performance together for the next meet. I really look forward to that. I do need a friend who I can do stuff like that with, and not just meet up in the pub and get drunk. She also has a 2nd home in Wales, where she does spend some time. Maybe, just maybe I get invited there :)
This week is over and I need some rest. Haven't been that busy for at least a year. But yayyy ... it feels good. Off to the vets with Isis for booster injections and then let the weekend roll on. Got nothing but a walk on Sunday planned. My friend K is looking after a puppy and wants us all together go to the park. That will be interesting!
Oh yes, and I might be adopting a second dog. He is a border collie x labrador, black & white and called Pierrot. I am going to visit him on Wednesday to see if we hit it off. At the moment he belongs to a very nice sounding Swedish woman, who is letting him go reluctantly, but has to because of work. It's soooo exciting ... he sounds just like the absolute right dog for Isis and me. Mind u, I didnt ask the cats hahaha.
