Pierrot arrived at 7 am this morning. The first thing he did after walking in was try and wee against my kitchen door. We could just about stop him. Not a good start. The he sat in front of the rabbit hutch, as he did when he came the last time. This was quite good, because his owners managed to slip out unnoticed. Not with out many tears being shed, even set me off. When Pierrot realised that they had gone, he ran around madly for a while, then peed against the freezer. A right puddle it was too!!! I told him off and sent him out into the garden. There he had another couple of pisses! I praised him for doing it. Right place, right time and all that! At 8.30 am we went for a run about in the health centre park. I wasn't going to let Pierrot of the lead, but then I felt sorry for him. Also, there were a whole bunch of dogs I know, so I realised he desperately wanted to play with them ... and knew it would be ok. And play they did. At exhaustion point I managed to get him back on the lead and we went home. Both dogs walk amazingly well together, which surprises me. Initially there was a bit of growling and snapping in the house from Isis, but that has all calmed down now too. To be honest, I hardly notice that I have got dogs at all. Somehow I am sure we're going to be ok :-)On the downside - I am ill. Got a cold, sore throat, swollen glands, runny nose and temperature! Yuck yuck yuck!!! I think the wind at the beach on Sunday brought it on. I wasn't feeling too well in the first place, but that night I really felt the throat coming on. Been drinking tea with rum at lunchtime ... and eating icecream straight after. Nothing helps :-( I should really be in bed, but feel I should be up to make sure the dogs are ok. Just hope it passes quickly ....
