Lunacy

Might really just be the full moon, but things have been spiralling out of control. I was shattered on the weekend, but still managed to slave away in and out of the house on Saturday. Then did the Dame Emily Park market from 12 - 5 yesterday, which meant getting to Kathia at 10.30am, then walk to the park and get set up for 12. There were only a few traders present, so I made quite a bit of money. Sold well over £100 of stock, so deducting stall costs, food & drink and a taxi home, as well as material costs, I still made about £90 net. I could do with that every weekend! Got home at 7pm, slightly drunk and very knackered, then had to cook and clear market stuff away. Pete being his usual lazy self, probably knowing full well that I would feel guilty because he had to walk the dogs twice yesterday. TWICE!!! That's shocking. The result of me being out so much recently is that I have 2 lunatic dogs. Pierrot just disappears as soon as he is off the lead and comes back when he wants to, i.e. after 20 - 30 minutes, usually scratched to buggery from bramble bushes. And Isis has suddenly gotten very old and decrepit. About an hour ago I set out to giving them a long walk down by the river, which both of them usually enjoy, but we didn't get very far. Isis was just dragging her feet from the word go and I thought she might actually have another fit (luckily she didn't so far) and Pierrot did his usual disappearing act. So I cut the walk short and we were back within 30 minutes. Now I am in a real quander, if I can go to the gig tonight. I thought it was just me going, but as it transpires, Pete has got himself a ticket too. So the dogs would actually be left on their own for about 5 hours. Maybe not such a good idea ...

I am also very pissed off about not getting any help in any way. If I want to do something, then I have to work twice as hard and do twice as much during the remaining time. That means, all the things I usually did in 7 days, I now have to do in 5 days, because of being on the course for 2 days. Whereas, if Pete wants to do something, he just does it! It is all good and well giving me a gig ticket for my birthday, nice thought I admit it, but that just means I have to stress all day to get things done. Then I suggested to him that instead of cooking, we get something from the chip shop before going out tonight. His answer: "I don't want chips, I want mashed potato and something." Well, he's not having to cook, is he? So I think it is a bit of a cheek that this should be my birthday pressie, but I am actually punished for it. Gheez, I am not even WITH the guy!

The only thing that really cheers me up and makes me excited is that my dear friend Kittie is coming up on 18th September. I haven't see her for sooooooooo long, and have missed her terribly. I hope that by that weekend I still have some energy left, because it is the Brizzolfest that weekend and there is plenty going on.

Oh yes, and I am going to do some barwork this Saturday ... well it's combined bar and security work! Now that should be fun ... NOT! But I need the money :-/

  1. I think you need a new roomate. The one you have has a great big L for LOSER on his forehead.

  2. I'm sorry that the birthday didn't turn out better. But I'm glad that you did well at the market.

  3. If you can make £90 on £100 gross profit (whatever it's called ~ I never did economics at school. Actually I had to drop everything I liked at GCSE to do French and German ...) ... anyway if you can make £90 that's really good going in my book!
